Shinobi Sakura

To bring to life this idea of a stealthy, dangerous Shinobi-inspired mech I scored this video with intense use of granular synthesis, to match the fast morphing of the robot. The granular stretch was applied both to modern digital sounds and organic recorded ones such as wood knocks.

Gloaming Grove

For this video the goal of my score was to build this sonic world of a gloomy forest full of weird and wonky creatures, where the listener could completely immerse themselves. To realize this vision I’ve blended squelchy digital sounds and noisy textures with some field recordings of night forest insects and rivers to create a cohesive sonic environment.

March of the Shadows

For this score I focused on creating a voice for all the creatures displayed. For the first creatures I used some recorded animal growls that I’ve further processed and distorted, for the second part I’ve used some similar growls but stretched and granulated them to match the fast morphing of the monster. To add variety in the third part of the video I’ve recorded some bits of my own voice and created a more guttural growl for the goul horde, and for the final part I built foleys to recreate the sound of the skeletal soldier army marching.

Glitchberries

The focus of this score was to create a heavily stilyzed world, characterised by delicious squishy sounds merged with an 8bit aesthetic. To create a digital and nostalgic mood, I underscored the scene with  and a plucky offbeat melody inspired by classic videogames.

Rootbound

For this video the focus was put on sonorising the visual effect of the transformation, putting emphasis on the waves that slowly transform and morph around the spirit of the forest. To achieve this I used some orchestral libraries for the background choir melody and some bass wobbles created through wavefolding synthesis to match the visual movement of the waves.
